Exco election procedure

This year’s election will be carried out in four phases.
1. Candidate-Organized Activity
2. Interview
3. Speech and Voting
4. Release of Result
1. Candidate-Organized activity
The candidate organized activity will take place on 2nd May, Friday from 4pm to 8pm. All Exco nominees are to form ONE organizing committee and meet to plan for this event after CSM on Wednesday, 30th April, in school (outside TKD room) at 1pm (go for lunch beforehand). The current Exco will be down to observe the discussion and planning process.
The purpose of the activity is to bond the batch. The event should consist of:
• Team-bonding activities
• Dinner
• After dinner entertainment
Note: There will be C2 Parent-Teacher-Meeting taking place from 6pm onwards at the canteen, auditorium, hall and various classrooms. The activities planned must cause no disturbance.
2. Interview
The interview will take place on 19th May 2008, Monday (Vesak Day Public Holiday). Interviewers will consist of the current Exco and likely our coaches and grand seniors.
Candidates will be allocated 10-15 minutes each. The specific time slot for each candidate will be up soon.
3. Speech and Voting
This phase will be carried out on 21st May 2008, Wednesday.
Each candidate will be given 3 minutes for their speech and 2 minutes for Q&A, and will also have to randomly choose a scenario question to be answered in a limited time. Actual voting will be carried out on the same day.
4. Release of Result
Results of the election will be announced on 23rd May 2008, Friday during the last training (official) of Term 2.
