Just to confirm: the people running for exco are as followsWeili Eric Angela Celia Felix Elizabeth Rachel Peiwei Zhang Xiao Jackie Audrey Eileen Zhuyun Pohting Shinyi Xinyi Pekyee Junxin Jaime Melesa Yuqin If your name is supposed to be here; you submitted the form to Jieying but didn't submit it online to hctkdexco@gmail.com or.. any other reason, please write in ASAP with form attached and explain, else we'll be taking this list as final. Anyway, guys, just to say: I'm glad that many of you are running. It'll be really rewarding (yes, they always say that, but this is realer than reality) and regardless of the eventual result, no matter who gets in, everyone will be the closer for it. You'll all get to see your tkd mates in more situations than just the quintessential target kicking pt sharing etc; it might be slightly painful but 1. pain helps us grow! and 2. WE LOVE PAIN WE LIVE TO TRAIN For those who are running: think about why you're running, why you want the post, and how you want the club to be. I understand that most of you have mostly been exposed to just the practical workings of the club; if you want more information, we're always available for asking. There is such a lot more than what's on top, lovelies. And just to tell you guys: despite how much we fool around (okay, me), these elections are serious; we need to know that you guys can work as well as play, so don't be fooling around when the time comes. Everything to do with the elections should be taken very, very seriously; if you can't handle that, best that you withdraw. For those of you who aren't running: it should still matter greatly to you because your exco influences the way the club works, the mood and spirits and essentially, everything that you currently care about in tkd. So in the period of time before the elections, you guys should be watching closely and thinking about what you want the club to be, and who you best think can represent you. Current skill level - really doesn't matter, it's more the passion involved and sustained, and the accountability of the people you're thinking of voting in to the club. Zhihao sucked when he started. I sucked when I started. Skills can be built up as long as there's passion and love involved, this we promise. Also v importantly, you guys need to remember that this voting of people in isn't the only way you can influence the club. We're all hctkd and thank goodness we're (relatively) small; it's up to you to tell the exco (new or old) re changes you want to see implemented, changes you think can benefit the club. Regardless of who's elected into exco, we're all one tkd club - without everyone, we're nothing. Ensuring everyone's happiness isn't just a cliche; tell us if you're upset and for what reason and I swear we'll listen and do things. Love, Chreees Labels: Exco
