According to the rules, only people who attained their brown belt in Jan 2006 is allowed to participate in the brown belt one and only black belters under STF are allowed in the black category. SO essentially, most of us are only eligible for yellow, green and blue, thus a total of 6 teams. However, it has to be noted that you can only participate in equal or higher belt levels than your obtained belt level after grading in Jan2009 basing on your base colour. (eg. green tip= yellow) Each person is only allowed to participate in ONE pattern team.
- Registration fee is $28.00/ pattern team.
yup! basically that's all you guys are supposed to know for now regarding the competition!!! so please do read through the basic criteria in point2 cos it's really important for everyone to understand that it is impossible for us to allow everyone to particpate :( yup so no matter what the end result maybe, we seek your understanding (:
okay on to other stuff!!
firstly, here's the tshirt design for IVP next year, we're spps to hand in the order forms in early jan next year, so please do indicate your interest either to me/ eileen/your section leaders. the price is not confirmed cos it depends on the number of orders they get, so for now just indicate if you're interested ba.
secondly, each schl can allow one photographer in eh! so which kind soul may wanna consider volunteering your services and be there to root for hctkd can also inform us!! (:
lastly, there will be an
alumni exhibition match. so seniors regardless of which batch you're from, if you're interested, please do tell me. details are sketchy, but it does sound like some sparring/ competition thing and you'll get medals but your points will not contribute to hctkd's overall score in IVP. yup that's all i know for now eh haha. probably you all can tell me if you're interested, den i can ask ntu again (:
okay that's all!! realised this is a REALLYYYYYY long post. heh paiseh. anws happy holidays still!!

Re: Tomorrow
First, details, for those who haven't received the message from their SLs.
Time and VenueFor competitors in the morning aka all the individuals, meet at 8 at Bedok MRT or by 8.15 at Bedok Sports Hall. If you're meeting at the MRT, do not be late, it's a long complicated walk to the destination.
For the rest, meet at the Sports Hall BY 9.00am for the taking of the Taekwondo Pledge. You should be able to find us by the hctkd banners hung up.
We'll be staying there all the way till 7 odd.
Attire
Hwachong T-shirt and either track pants or a spare set of gi pants (to warm up in); we shouldn't be putting on our gi pants till right before our categories.
To BringA WHITE T-shirt
GI, ironed and clean
BELT for your category aka J1s doing yellow please don't bring white
Hairties and clips for the girls (no messy hair)
$3.70 for catered lunch
Bottles and etc (there should be places to refill)
Snacks - non-oily, HEALTHY things, to sustain you through the day
-
K guys, this is the last stretch. As Celest said today: it's far too late to be concentrating on each individual small detail now; rather, rely on your muscle memory and remember to focus. Block out everyone who doesn't matter and just do the pattern to the best of your ability. We've trained hard and come this far; Celest has faith in us, let us likewise have faith in ourselves and go there and kick butt :D
SLEEP EARLY TONIGHT, DRINK MANY MANY WATERS
Love, Chris.

Two things, one for the pattern teams and the other for the nominees:
1. Pattern teams:
a. Mirror room will be available at the following days, time and location. We thank Dr Siva mightily. Please settle with your teams/ pairs/ self and get down there; using the mirror seriously helps.

b. For this week, Celest will be coming down from 1.30 onwards tomorrow (Wed) and 3.30 onwards on Friday. Do come if you wish to train/ aren’t running for exco (esp J2s who were discriminated against today !!1)
2. Exco nominees, please resubmit your exco forms after the event on Friday, and by Sunday latest. This is not due to our losing the forms or anything like that but more because we feel that 1. the initial exco form submission gave you all a rough idea of what you would like to run for but 2. now that some time has passed, perhaps you guys have thought more deeply about the different roles and their functions, as well as where you can best serve. Think it over and submit by Sunday should you want to resubmit, if not, the forms stand as initially submitted.

Just a very important sidenote,
Thursday, April 10, 2008 / 10:46 PM
Role of Pattern AIs:
- Liasing with you-peoples to fix dates between now and 18th May,
- where they come down and guide/ check on pattern/ prevent committing of suicide
- Standardization of pattern within the belt (do not worry we do not discriminate)
Role of you-peoples:
- Plan your schedule (and jolly well make sure you can make it!)
- Organize extra trainings where your AIs aren’t around – so that you can impress them when you next see them (we are stingy with our Good Going!s)
- Actively seek help from your AIs (if they are busy after school, and you-peoples are nice, we can do mornings. 7am. Seriously.)

Eh btw you can add us on MSN if you want (actually please do). Our emails are on the sidebar. We like young people they make us feel all zesty inside.

one day and counting
Thursday, February 28, 2008 / 3:37 PM
Hi guys I'm not in the pink of health as of this moment but I will totally be down tomorrow, with poms poms, if any of you care to get me some.
Anyway, competition day details:
930am: Dismissal from lesson, Meet upstairs and train
1030am: Breakfast (is mandatory)
11am: We Get Moving, I Will Update You Re How We Get There
12nn: Reach NTU, hopefully. Registration, Pattern teams warmup and revise
On another note, I would say it's been great to see the dedication and drive of my comrades this past week (just that, I haven't been there) but I
have been hearing about the commitment and drive and late hours - and I am supremely proud of all of us. Just one day more to go, be calm and relaxed and.. I suppose "enjoy yourself on the mats" is too much to ask for, but
show them what we can do should be apt.
MUCH LOVE, I'll see you guys tomorrow, please don't hug my tummy.
Chreees
